The best way to spend a Caturday

It's CATURDAY!!!

This morning I alerted Rumblemum and Rumbledad to the fact that it was Caturday with a lovely song. I don't know that they fully appreciated it, but it sure did feel good to me!

After that I had a whole bunch of snoopervising to do, and some re-floofing (can you believe that loud cleaning machine ate all the floof I'd left on the carpet?? I worked hard to get those floofs just right!)

Then I had the hardest part of my day. The sun worship.

I love you, silvervine pillow. Let's never be apart.

Hello everybody!! I get to steal the blog today because Rumblemum finally got a good photo of me!

I'm too cute to pounce!

Apparently with a Ragdoll it's difficult to avoid getting 'red-eye' in photos. I don't know what that is, but I know I don't have it... I have BLUE eyes!

The photo above is me playing with one of my very favorite toys - the 'disco' Da Bird head. (you can see it here) I don't mind the feather Da Bird head, but the sparkly one is my FAVORITE. Rumbles likes the fur one, he thinks he's after a mousie!

I POUNCED on that Da Bird right after this photo was taken!

I'm a Cheshire Cat!

Sweet Baby Patches thought that me and Hammy would like a mushroom - it's super cute and made out of wool! Here we are with it...

And now for the bunny kicking part of our program!

A standing bunny kick (mushroom is under me)

Cats are apparently attracted to wool - we sure like it! And the mushroom is a nice size - easy to grip in a bunny kick but with a long end for noming on.

All in all, a good time was had. Thank you so much, Miss Baby Patches. We love our mushie mushroom!

Edited to add: OMC! We just saw Miss Baby Patches' bloggie, and she's got good info on why kitties love wool...

But I'm totally innocent! As you can see from the photo, I have no feet. How could a handsome mancat that doesn't have feet possibly jump on a counter?

I'm a hard workin' fella. I keep the Rumbleparents in line. I teach that Ham how to be a good mancat. I snoopervise all activities like laundry, bedsheet changing, food preperation...

 Sometimes I need to take some Rumbletime.

Rumblemum is doing all sorts of cleaning. I don't like cleaning. Takes time away from adoring ME.

You can see that that Hammy loves the sunpuddles, and his nip pillow. He gets called 'Roll-y Joe' when he does this routine (which is often).

Towards the end he remembers that he left one of his other favorite toys underneath the red tent...

And now a public service announcement...

My friends, we recently found out something important that we want to share with you (and please share this with your friends who have kitties)

This is me with my bamboo. A sweet friend of the Rumbleparents brought it by as a housewarming gift. Rumblemum googled 'bamboo' and saw that bamboo was safe for kitties, and so the plant was welcomed into the home. I LOVED the bamboo! Every place it was moved to, I would follow!

HaHA! You cannot hide up here, little bamboo plant!

They call me Booboo, and I loves me bamboo!

I posted the last photo on Facebook and one of my friends (Miss Karen... and we are forever grateful to her) mentioned that this was a type of bamboo called Dracaena Sanderiana, or 'lucky bamboo' and it's poisonous to cats in the same way that lilies are.

Seriously, in about two seconds flat that bamboo was downstairs in the dumpster, and there is a 'no plants except cat-grass allowed' policy in our house now.

I'm posting this to make you guys aware if you're not already... Rumblemum isn't a plant person (seriously. She can't really even grow cat grass. Yes, you heard that right... my mummy can kill GRASS.) so she thought all she needed to look up was 'bamboo' and that would cover it.

Please be aware that Dracaena Sanderiana (or 'lucky bamboo') is poisonous to kitties, and should be kept out of reach or not at all. If you see it in the house of a cat loving friend, warn them too. I suspect this is an easy one to miss for people that aren't looking at the specific name of the bamboo.

I miss my bamboo... Rumblemum needs to get me that cat grass, STAT.

MY new bed

One of the other new things that we got (without asking ME) is a new bed.

Shocking, I know. I should have been taken to sleep on every single bed in consideration of the final choice, but no. I was not at all consulted.

This is me testing the new bed on it's first day.

It's a bit SMALL, don't you think?

Where are you guys gonna sleep?
