We're going to be away for a while...

As some of you know, APPARENTLY we're moving.

Neither myself nor that Ham were consulted, and we did not get to inspect this new home. Add to this that the Rumbleparents have been out late doing things at the new home and we haven't been getting our dinner on time, and everything is a MESS here...

We are most displeased.

We'll be back next week some time, once we're in the new place. I hope you're all doing well.

All your vacuum bags are belong to ME!

A sad day today

Today we lost a very special blogging friend, dear Eric from Eric and Flynn's Adventures.

Eric was a beautiful mancat, who loved his brother and his family very much. Together they had some amazing adventures and nommed on a lot of mice. He really was a special boy, and a big cuddle bunny when it came to his daddy.

Our mummy had a MASSIVE Eric crush, he was irresistible with his sweet little face and beautiful nose.

My heart goes out to Eric's family, and very much to Flynn.

Fly high, sweet angel.

Thank you to Alasandra for the graphic
Comments are off today, please stop by Eric's blog and leave a comment there for his family instead.

That darn Ham!

Here's the story.

A handsome mancat, enjoying a leisurely evening in his most beloved tent.

Look deep into my angel eyes!

A sound in the distance alerts him to danger afoot!

What's that crashing sound?

But our handsome protagonist is determined to be undisturbed!

The look of love... is in my eyes!
The noise grows closer.

Who is that tap tapping at my door?
And becomes a bit of an annoyance.

"What'cha doin' in there, Rumbles?"

A VERY persistent annoyance.

"Can I come in too?"
*sigh*

Off to find a new hiding spot I guess.

A giveaway from our friends at Ambertick!

The wonderful people at Ambertick have given us one of their beautiful cat necklaces to give away to one of you guys!

The necklaces are really cool - they're an all natural way to repel fleas and ticks.  The natural resin from the amber keeps away the ticks and fleas by absorbing into the fur. The amber also contains succinic acid, which is directly absorbed into the skin and bloodstream. Succinic acid is highly antimicrobial, boosts immunity and anti-inflammatory. Plus they look really stylish, they have a natural leather fastener!

You can find out more about the necklaces here. They're really pretty - the one we got looks like this (it's still in the package - but you can get the idea) It's 35 - 40 cm / 14 - 16 inches. For a better view of the necklaces visit the Ambertick site.

Want to enter? It's SUPER easy - just post a comment saying you want to win! Additional entries if you share this contest on Facebook!

Contest closes on 03/18/2013 at 12am EST.

Edited to add: Everyone is elegible for this one, regardless of location :)

Can you help? - Updated with good news!

Updated with good news: I rang the shelter - they've both been adopted together today!! I don't know anything other than that (the lady actually sounded really suspicious of how happy I was when I heard they were adopted! hahaha) but I'm so glad they've landed on their feet. In a perfect world it would be Miss Kathleen that adopted them *fingers crossed* ~The Rumblemum

One of the saddest stories I've heard in a long time, poor Miss Kathleen from Feline Purr-spective was forced to put two of her babies into a shelter after her landlord decided she couldn't keep all three of her kitties. (You can read the full story here)

These guys need a special new home, I just know someone out there can help!

This is Sherlock - he's a big cuddlebug, even if he's a little shy at times:

Sherlock is about three years old and irresistible!

This is Traveller (renamed 'Watson' by the shelter)

Traveller is also about two years old. He's a special needs kitty, as he doesn't hear as well at times, but he's adorable and full of love.

Please - if you've been thinking of adopting a new kitty (or two! Two are even BETTER than one!) these guys could really use your help.

There's a possibility that Miss Kathleen might be able to take them back again come June - so maybe if you're just able to foster them till then? These guys will pay you back with so much love!!

Here's the link to the shelter:

- Sherlock's link
- 'Watson' (Traveller's) link

They're in Edmond, OK - but if you're in the US and interested in adopting them I reckon we could get them to you some how - do don't let location be an impediment!

Our heart goes out to Miss Kathleen, and we purr every day for her & Ash and for Sherlock & Traveller.

Edited: Miss Jan has pointed out that they're no longer appearing on the shelter site. I don't know why, and they were up yesterday... maybe someone has adopted them? I sure hope so, because that would mean they're together still...

I don't like where this is going...

Suddenly there are boxes all over the place. Empty shelves. Vacuum packing.

I don't know what the deal is, but I have an uneasy feeling.

That being said, this is a mighty fine napping spot!!

Can I pack Hammy?
